The physical body is surrounded by an energy field that extends throughout and even can be extended several meters around. This energy field is an information center that helps us to communicate and interact with our environment. Constantly we are transmitting and receiving energy that helps us process the world and understand it better. The energy system has certain points where it joins the energy, and the energy centers are known as chakras. These energy centers are like a swirling that move energy through the physical body. The seven chakras in the physical body symbolize the seven levels of energy system in the human body and the seven lessons of the spiritual path, which help us to rise in the level of consciousness. They receive the energy of your energy field and are responsible to carry out to certain areas of your life or body. Each chakra also represents processes of personal fulfillment and is responsible for the different lessons at different stages of life.
If your chakras are functioning optimally, you will feel that every aspect of your life flows well and is aligned with the lessons you have to learn in this life and with your life’s purpose. If there is a chakra blocked, you will feel that the corresponding area of your life is not flowing as it should and if all the chakras are blocked, your life will feel stagnant or like you are constantly struggling to get ahead, not fluent. Each of the seven chakras is governed by spiritual laws, are principles of consciousness that we can use to cultivate a greater harmony, happiness and well-being in our lives and in the world.
The 7 chakras
I will be giving you a summary of the seven chakras related to the physical body and its characteristics. This information is a compilation of several books and years of studying the energy of the body, but if you want to deepen them I recommend my favorite book on the subject: Anatomy of the Spirit of Caroline Myss. This book helped me to understand the relationship between the chakras and the lessons of the spiritual path, as well as its relationship with the state of the physical body..
Chakra No.1 Muladhara or the root chakra
This chakra gives us the connection with earth and the basis of who we are, our sense of identity and belonging in the world. It is the basis of mental and emotional health, their job is to make sure that we have everything to be protected here on earth, this includes a community of people who make us feel safe. If the energy of this chakra is blocked, you may feel that you struggle to keep yourself, you may be low in energy, have back or hips problems, or feel that you do not find your place of belonging in this world. This chakra is located at the base of the column, in the coccyx and connects energetically to the physical body with the spine, rectum, bones, and the immune system (which is also keeping us safe in this world). Its color is red, like the color of the earth.
Chakra No. 2 SVADHISTHANA or sacral chakra
This chakra is related to discover who we are as a people, separated from the tribe. Help us to open ourselves to new experiences and find the pleasure in life. Their lessons are related to sexuality, the individuality, work, creative expression, the relationship with the money and physical desire. This chakra is located in the sacrum, just below your navel and connects energetically to the physical body to the reproductive system, kidneys, intestines, and the hips. Its color is orange, like a sunset.
Chakra No. 3 Manipura or solar plexus
This chakra is related to the personal power, the confidence in ourselves and in control of our life. It is our personal power center and the center of the personality, your energy is to take control and create the life we want to live in. This chakra is located two fingers above the navel, the solar plexus and connects energetically to the physical body with the stomach, small intestine, gallbladder, liver and the center of the column. Its color is yellow, like the sun.
Chakra No. 4 Anahata or heart chakra
This chakra is related to our ability to love, to feel compassion and forgive others. Is the center of the emotional energy, body and spirit. This chakra is located in the center of the chest and connects energetically to the physical body with the heart, the circulatory system, the chest, lungs, arms, shoulders and hands. Its color is green, as the wood and leaves.
Chakra No. 5 Vishudda or Throat chakra
This chakra relates to our ability to communication, expression of feelings and the truth. Their lessons are related to self-expression and the will. This chakra is located in the throat and connects energetically with the throat, thyroid, the vertebrae in the neck, jaw and teeth.. Its color is blue or aquamarine blue.
No.6 Ajna Chakra or third eye chakra
This chakra is related with the intuition, imagination, wisdom and knowledge. Is the center where the conscious and unconscious forces come together and connect with intuition and our inner wisdom. This chakra is located in the center of the forehead, between the eyes and connects energetically with the brain, the neurological system, the pineal and pituitary gland, the eyes, ears and nose. Its color is indigo, such as the sky on a clear night.
Chakra No. 7 Sahasrara or the crown chakra
This is the highest chakra and represents our ability to be connected spiritually. Their energy is devotion and surrender, our ability to allow that spirituality is a part of our life and allow a relationship with the divine. This chakra contains the vital energy of the divine. It is located in the crown of the head or the top of the head and connects energetically to the physical body with the central nervous system, muscular system and the skin. Its color is pale purple or white light, the color associated with divinity.
It is fascinating to study the relationship between the chakras with each stage of our life and with the state of the physical body. When we know and work with energy, we can better understand how everything in this world is connected and how the reality that we see is a projection of our inner reality. Here we also recognize that the power to create is in our hands, even when we’ve given it away by fear, we can claim it back at any time and create the life we want to see.
